Michael Voss is an expert auditor on International Standards, specifically, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Mr. Voss is an authorised consultant to the Centre for Organisational Excellence Research, as well as a certified Quality Manager. He is the past Development Director at the New Zealand Organisation for Quality.
His other specialities include strategic thinking and planning, criteria for performance excellence, best practice benchmarking, and excellence award programmes.
Michael Voss has a background in science, engineering, communications, research and development; manufacturing, leading high-growth companies, and governance.
He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, Associate Fellow of Institute of Management of New Zealand, member of Institution of Professional Engineers of New Zealand, and member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Mr. Voss worked for the New Zealand and US governments and in private enterprise before setting up his own business improvement consultancy in 1999. He has worked with the Baldrige business excellence model for over 20 years. He has designed awards programmes, trained judges, examiners, and award applicants, led evaluation teams, and been involving in assessing hundreds of organisations from two-person partnerships to multi-site companies in New Zealand and overseas.
Michael Voss has designed organisational assessment processes, organisational improvement tools, and is co-developer of a best practice benchmarking methodology. He is a seasoned trainer, facilitator, author and speaker.

Sunil Thawani, a Fellow of the American Society for Quality, and a member of the ASQ Global Advisory Committee, which advises the organization’s board of directors on ASQ Global’s plans and activities. Mr. Thawani has also served as a jury member on the Dubai Quality Award and the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence award. He has helped many organizations implement excellence frameworks, international standards and win prestigious national, regional and international awards such as United Nations Public Service Award, World Summit Alliance, and the MRM Business Award. In 2015 Mr. Thawani was awarded the ASQ Lancaster Medal for his dedication and outstanding contributions to the International Fraternity of Quality Professionals.
Sunil Thawani has presented and published more than 50 technical papers and case studies at conferences and in journals. He is the author of “Business Excellence Awards – Strategies for Winning” and is currently working on promoting United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and how Quality & Excellence can help achieve UN SDGs at lower cost.
